This post is a test of my video setup with me singing karaoke-style to a risqu\u00e9 parody I wrote when John and Loreena Bobbit were in the news. I’d classify it as PG-13, so proceed at your own risk. The original is “Bibiddy, Bobiddy, Boo,” and I’m absolutely convinced the “fair use” provisions of copyright law apply, though I certainly don’t want to fight Walt Disney in court over it. I’m playing the music on a cassette tape (how quaint!).<\/p>\n

Now parodies only work if you are familiar with the original. I assume everybody on the planet is familiar with the Walt Disney cartoon canon and knows the Fairy Godmother’s magic invocation from the movie Cinderella,<\/em> when she’s flitting about wielding her magic wand and turning a pumpkin into a carriage and mice into horses. Here’s a snip of the song:<\/p>\n

The story:<\/strong> John Wayne Bobbitt (yes, that’s his real name) and his wife, Loreena, a native of Ecuador, were a seemingly happily married couple when one night in 1993 Loreena took a kitchen knife, cut off his penis while John was sleeping, ran out the door, drove away in the family car and threw the penis out the window into a field. John was understandably upset and called the police, who tracked Loreena down.\u00a0 When she was arrested she told the police, “He always have orgasm [sic], and he doesn’t wait for me ever to have orgasm. He’s selfish.”<\/p>\n

After an intensive search the police found John’s appendage, which was reattached after a nine hour operation, and was apparently successful as John later starred in a couple of porno movies. During Loreena’s trial she claimed that she was the victim of abuse, which John of course denied, and she was found not guilty by reason of insanity.<\/p>\n
