I wrote it into my first novel, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.castaliapub.com\/williamscottmorrison\/the-energy-caper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Energy Caper, or Nixon in the Sky With Diamonds<\/a>,<\/em> in a scene in which two characters, Jenny and McGill, who have known each other only a couple of days, have attended a baseball game. Afterward, unknown to her, McGill, who is head-over-heels smitten, wrote her this song.
