This songwriter demo was recorded in 1984 and is the only time I’ve ever been in a studio with “real” musicians where I was completely in control. That’s the late, great Keith Allen on two guitar parts, Marcus Webster on percussion, and Phil Hersch playing bass and engineering. I wisely only sing. This is the only time I’ve ever achieved the kind of “sound” I was going for. As a songwriter (but not a performer) I’m still looking for “real” musicians to record this and make it a hit.
